My Coherent Ramblings

Well, two weeks have passed. I quit my bullshit job with its bullshit hours and its bullshit management making bullshit last moment bullshit changes to the bullshit schedule and...wait, these were supposed to be "coherent" ramblings, right? Well, then, anyway, let's get off Personal Story Avenue on to Let's Get Down to Business Lane.

Last week I wrote a rant about my first impressions of 5D's, and, well, you can pretty much see the end-result of 10 min worth of shitstorming can do. (I basically let my inner cynical fanboy throw fling his poo until he was bone-dry.) Now, sure it was biased as all hell, and sure it was about as fair as beating a paraplegic in a three-legged race, but, hey, I promised a part two to my GX rant and I wrote a part two.

Whether it was enough to incite a revolution or monger enough hate to turn people to the "dark side," I wouldn't really know...but all I know is, it was funny, my friends thought it funny, and some others thought it was funny, so just take it for the satirical good time it was and nothing more.

If it offended you, I guess I'm sorry. But, if I say that I hate 4Kids, that doesn't mean I'm automatically dissing all of its fans. I'm just saying that I hate the company and what it tries to pass off as "a reasonable effort."

Well, anyway, like I said, a good two weeks have passed, and the shitstorm has quelled to a moderate level shitdrizzle. I'm still all cranky and "BAAWWWW" over 5D's even existing, but, I think I've said that enough times to pass the message along to Jupiter, if you know what I mean. And, besides, something happens when you work on something that makes you feel a sense of...appreciation...no...respect...no...lethargy! Yes, lethargy! It just makes you think, "Well, genius, you're in this for the long haul, so roll up your sleeves and get ready to swim in shit river!"

Maybe I should save all my cynical ranting and raving for 4Kids, but ranting about 4Kids is easy enough as it is. Maybe I should rant about the technical and aesthetic aspects of their Uncut DVDs...*wink wink* *hint hint*

So, yeah, episode 2 of 5D's aired yesterday, and despite its ridiculously bad animation (Damn you, Korean animators!,) it was actually...pretty...okay? Ushio is basically a dueling highway patrol man and the whole damn thing reminds me so much of S-Cry-Ed it's not even fucking funny, but fist fights are always cool! ...Right?

Okay, maybe I'm being a bit facetious, but all in all, it wasn't a bad episode. (And the first episode wasn't all that bad either on reflection. If you can get passed all the non-YGO'ish elements that make it...non-YGO'ish. Though, that could be the lethargy talking...) Anyway, Uryu could probably kick HAGA!'s ass......in a fist fight...(which is true as true can be and you all know it!)

Bah, I've been so busy with 5D's, I've been neglecting some of the smaller projects I wanted to complete. Don't worry, the GX manga isn't being affected by this. Shriek has been busy with schoolwork and hasn't had any time to work on it. I, on the other hand, have had the scripts translated for little under 2 months now :P

I'm also hoping we can release the Pyramid of Light movie's script soon, because Shriek found a rip that wasn't TV-ripped and I've had the dialogue translated for a while now (which now just needs editing.) In addition to this, I'm hoping to fix all the spelling errors and whatnot in the movie's novel which I translated a while ago and put it in a nice, easy-to-read PDF with pictures and a page for translation notes and sparklies and macaroni and everything :D

Well, I've rambled on long enough. Just wanted to throw this out there for the sake of throwing it out there!
